Well the whole reason for this blog was to share with all of you the crazy happenings of my life. The things that only seem to happen on days that my husband is at work. I have yet to figure out if it happens because he is gone or if it only feels that way because when he is home I just don't notice the crazy! lol
So the other day he left for work like normal. I got up and started getting the girls ready for the day. We were low on hay for the horses so I had plans to drop Alisa at school, run my normal morning errands and then head to the feed store to grab hay. Yeah it just couldnt be that easy! as soon as I left the bank as I was walking back out to the truck I realized we had all the stuff left over from our garage sale!! With Jonathan home this would be a simple fix for me, I'd have him handle it ;). Well he wasnt home so I had to handle it myself. The girls were all loaded in the truck so we headed down to the dump to unload the truck. No this is not my favorite thing to do but I had to get hay! When I got there I really had no clue what I was doing I told the guy at the counter and he gave me directions. I could pay on the way out. When I got back to pay for it all I go in my wallet and start to grab at my card and the lady on this side of checkout says "we dont except cards" uh well I have been here with my husband and we have used cards before. She gets really mad at me and says "uh yeah we normally do but the atm is out of order right now... YOU DIDNT SEE THE SIGN?" haha uh no or I would not be trying to pay with my card! She gets all cranky and goes on to tell me that I will not be able to come back until I handle our 8 dollar balance! Oh please NOOO your not going to let me back in the dump?! Whatever will I do? Hello, I dont care I will pay the 8 dollars next time I am there! So that obstacle was out of the way... off to get hay we go. That went by with no issues in fact the feed store was great no crowd and it was easy to get the truck around. I get home to unload all the feed which I can do pretty easy without JT because I just drive the truck to the back of our yard where all the hay is and unload right by it, problem is I forgot we had moved our extra car for the garage sale and it was in my way! Our extra car is a VW Bus with a couple minor issues... not a big deal but I do have trouble getting it started and driving it so I usually leave that up to JT. So I "put my big girl panties on" got over myself and grabbed the keys. I could NOT get this Bus started for the life of me. I thought oh maybe its out of gas (because one of the minor issues is the gas gauge is broken) so I grabbed our gas can and put a gallon in and tried to fire it up and once again NOTHING! So I give it a little gas, then a little more, then a little more, THEN the gas peddle BREAKS right to the floor!! Well there we go it wont be moving now! So I had to get the wheel barrel and make a trip for each bale of hay x3 and each bag of grain x2 mind you we are on half an acre and the hay stack is at the back! Not to mention that each bale of hay weighs about 110 lbs and each bag of grain 80 lbs. Then Jt wanders why I don't ever feel like going to the gym! Doing my normal day to day is workout enough for me! I am pretty sure this is where my day finally turned around. It ended with a lot less drama just me and the girls nice quiet evening together. It just amazes me how all of the bumps in the road happen to show themselves when dad is not home... its crazy I tell ya! I use to have more trouble with it and would take it out on Jonathan like it was some big conspiracy he had planned! Lets just say that was not good for our marriage but I have calmed down over the years and learned to just laugh at it all. Which has shown to be a much better way to deal with it. I mean someone always has it worse then you I cant imagine being a single mom ALL of the time, not having the hope of tomorrow to get me through it! I am so thankful for my husband and I would not trade our life for any other!
Way to count your blessings girl! You can do it! I'm sure "things happen" When Jonathan is home but just his being there to help out makes it feel they don't, at least as much. Thank the good Lord too for Holy Spirit super natural strength and stamina. I can't tell you how many times a day I prayed, Lord please give me strength. It was the times I tried doing it all in my own strength that I lost it.
